An Athlete's Dream Recovery Cabin

Elevate Wellness Cabin, property of @live.well.homes, is the perfect wellness and recovery stay for athletes or wellness nerds. It's only a 1.5 hour drive from Atlanta! The first thing that stood out to me before booking was the triad of recovery options: hot tub, dry sauna, and cold plunge tub. Also included is a peloton bike, compression boots, a yoga mat, yoga blocks, a foam roller, and TRX resistance bands. Bring your health routine on vacation with you!

As a lover of wellness and nature, I wanted to visit this property as fast as I could. I drove up the first week of November, which was prime autumn in North Georgia. Imagine yellow, orange, red, and green hues lining the roads on either side. 200 feet from the driveway was a young buck still growing its antlers. The number of deer you'll see staying at Elevate Wellness Cabin is a treat you're in store for.

This 3 bed/2 bath cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen, games and books, a fire pit, and smart TV's in every room. You'll also find two keys hanging by the door that gives you all-inclusive access to the Coosawattee River Resort community center. There you'll find even more amenities such as an indoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball, mini golf, and an arcade.

My Favorite Quiet Moments

• Watching deer graze for food 30 feet away while relaxing in the hot tub

• Drinking nespresso on the covered outdoor patio, listening to the rain

• Feeling the warmth of the electric fireplace while I enjoy a glass of wine

• Having a solo bible study session in the sauna

• Trying the Nordic Cycle recovery method for the first time (sauna, cold plunge, hot tub)

Who This Is Perfect For

• Couples or families who love nature, wellness, and quiet retreats without being too far from a store

• Solo trip, cozy weekend getaway, anniversaries, birthdays

• NOT SUITED FOR high-energy groups-- this is a space for connection but there are neighbors around and quiet hours start at 10PM.

Are There Any Other Attractions Nearby?

Although the attractions on site were more than enough to keep me occupied, there are waterfalls and hiking trails within a 20-40 minute drive. Amicalola State Park, home to the tallest waterfall in the Southeast, has great scenery and hiking trails. If you'd like to see some apple orchards, BJ Reese Apple Orchard and Mercier are a couple to check out.

Final Thoughts

Even though my time here was short, I'm blessed I was able to go. The sound of heavy rain on the roof, the early morning wildlife sighting, the impenetrable silence... that's what I loved most about staying at Elevate Wellness Cabin. It reminded me to slow down, enjoy small moments, and be grateful for everything that comes my way.
